Ed Hogben is a London-based trumpeter exploring uncharted territory with his instrument. Using a MIDI harmoniser he built himself, Ed is able to play chords in real time — essentially fulfilling the role of piano or guitar in a jazz trio.
Having performed alongside renowned artists including Sheila-E, Morris Pleasure, and Kwame Yeboah, Ed has adapted the harmoniser as a live improvising tool in ways that have never been done before. His performances at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club have captured attention across the global jazz community.
After an overwhelming response from musicians around the world, Ed founded MTG Music Ltd to bring his harmoniser technology to performers everywhere — through the MIDI Trumpet Guy product line and educational workshops.
